There are three different museums: the Appalachian Heritage museum, the Native American Artifacts museum, and the Hall of Mystery. In the Appalachian Heritage museum are memories of life in the 19th century. Authentic antiques are seen throughout and the lifestyle of our Appalachian ancestors. In the Native American Artifacts museum are over 50,000 Native American artifacts. In the Hall of Mystery try to figure out any of the illusions or mysteries that are presented and you are even able to make a life size bubble. June through August, open Monday through Sunday from 9AM - 8PM. September through May, open Monday through Sunday from 9AM - 5PM. Mystery Hill is located between Boone & Blowing Rock at 129 Mystery Hill Ln.

Be inspired by the views from the highest point in the Blue Ridge and escape to a nature sanctuary of global importance. Cross the famous Mile High Swinging Bridge, photograph native wildlife in natural habitats and hike some of the South’s finest alpine trails.

The Blowing Rock Art & History Museum (BRAHM) is nestled on the south end of Main Street in charming Blowing Rock, NC. The state-of-the-art, LEED-certified building houses exhibits that range from works from the permanent collection to exhibitions on loan with a focus on American artists and the history of the mountain region. Operating hours: Sunday's from 12PM -4PM, closed Monday's, Tuesday through Saturday 10AM - 5PM. Closed most major holidays (including New Year’s, Good Friday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.) Free parking is available in the deck adjacent to the Museum.

North Carolina's oldest travel attraction. The Blowing Rock is an immense cliff 4,000 feet above sea level, overhanging Johns River Gorge 3,000 feet below. Open Daily in April and May (Weather permitting) from 8:30AM - 7PM. June through October, open daily from 8:30AM - 7PM. November and December, open daily (weather permitting) from 9AM - 5PM. January through March, open Thursday through Monday (weather permitting) from 9AM - 5PM. During the months that are weather permitting please call ahead.

Wild West family theme park featuring a three-mile, steam-powered train ride through the North Carolina mountains. Shopping, live entertainment, amusement rides and a petting zoo. Open on weekends in May (Fri.-Sun.). Open 7 days a week after Memorial Day weekend through mid-August. Mid-August through October, open weekends (Fri.-Sun.). Operating hours are 9AM to 6PM. Ghost Train Halloween Festival runs weekend evenings in October. Please call ahead to verify operating hours and rates, or visit our website for more information.
